The words of this song totally capture the journey of my leaving my career and going home until the Lord told me it was time to sing again. He brought me out of the desert and made me to sing as in the days of my youth. Lord, I thank you for the vision of the green fields up ahead.

This song reminds of the incredible journey that the Lord has taken me on, not only physically, emotionally, but so much spiritually. He has shown me that He is taking beyond all the boundaries that man has put around me and He has said "Yes, you can and you will." Dear God, I thank you for the presence of your Holy Spirit in my life. Taking me down new roads and new pathways. For cleaning my vessel and showing me your will for my life. And that you really do give us our dreams, we just have to realize that they are from you. Thank you Lord for the visions and dreams of you. Someday we all will be tested on where we stand. This song is a wake up call for all of us who have been impacted by the senseless deaths of our youth over the last three years. I started writing this song in my car after picking my kids up from school. The title of this song was born out of a phrase I heard on the radio that day. I went home and the Lord poured out this song in a matter of hours.

Edie, This is God's cry to you........please come back! . . . This is the first song I wrote for this record. At church one Sunday, our pastor was talking about what are your dreams that you have laid down because of other distractions....etc. Well, I went home and realized that I have a lot of dreams that I had given up on and one of them was writing. I asked the Lord what He wanted for me to write and He wrote this song.

This song is based on a vision that the Lord gave to me of seeing a wide open plain with a field of wheat standing alone and a horse corral with restless horses waiting to run and Jesus standing at the crest of a hill...waiting. I dedicate this song to Vera Foster who has painted the most beautiful picture of that day when we will ride with Jesus. Ride Jesus, ride!
